While lapping up morning coffees and happy hour at the Lake House, Ron Fitzgerald has still trimmed down and become fitter since shifting into his three-bedroom home at Providence Piara Waters.

“I lost seven kilograms in the first few weeks of being here because the Resort’s walking group is such a great way to stay active while having a chat with other Homeowners,” explains Ron.

The first single man to move in, the community aspect has been a big bonus.

“I’ve made lots of fabulous and caring new friends,” Ron says.

“When I had COVID, my neighbours checked on me every day and brought food, and I could sit on my verandah and chat to everyone; that never would have happened in my old neighbourhood.”

While looking around for a retirement community to call home, Ron discovered Piara Waters and was particularly attracted to the home designs, the lack of exit fees and the myriad extras, including the metal and wood workshops, microbrewery, BBQ area and golf simulator.

A ballroom dancing enthusiast, Ron’s also eagerly awaiting the completion of the Resort’s
stunning Hamptons-inspired Clubhouse, due to be finished early 2024 so he can get back out on the dance floor!
