After three years living at Piara Waters Lifestyle Resort, Wendy has well and truly embraced resort living.
I’m really loving it here,” she confirms.
“I used to live in a four-bedroom house with a study; it was just too big for me.”
Downsizing, however, wasn’t Wendy’s only motivation when she settled on moving into the Resort.
“I didn’t have any sort of social interaction on a regular basis,” she reflects.
“That was my main reason to move into a lifestyle resort, so that I could meet people and enjoy all the stuff that goes on here.”
And that’s exactly what Wendy has done.
“Once a month, we have a social barbecue with our social club, which is really good, so you can keep in touch with all the other Homeowners,” she states.
“I like to introduce a little bit of music and get people to join in on a Saturday night and come and have a bit of a dance.
There’s always something to do, if you want to do it.”
The Resort’s brilliant facilities also caught Wendy’s eye when she was contemplating her life change.
“I’ve taken up bowls, lawn bowls, and I love it,” she confesses.
“There’s a gym, swimming pool and a games room. I enjoy playing pool every now and again. I’m not that good, but I really enjoy it.”
Three years on, Wendy’s courage to downsize her home and upsize her life – has paid off in spades.
“If anybody is thinking of moving to a lifestyle resort, Providence is a good choice,” she says.
“Less cleaning, more activities.
It’s far better, you move in and that’s it, every day is yours, and you’re laughing.
