Ross and Shirley Stallard, the first homeowners to move into Piara Waters Lifestyle Resort, are over the moon with their new address.
“The Clubhouse will offer everything for me, the whole package – I’ll be able to relax, have a coffee, read a book in the library and catch up with new friends often,” Shirley explains.
High on Ross’s list will be spending time in the Resort’s gym and heated indoor pool, as well as the workshop, veggie garden and microbrewery.
The couple’s beloved pet dog, Missy, has also taken to downsizing, and is enjoying much attention from others living in the Resort.
Shirley and Ross purchased a two bedroom home with a study (so they each have a hobby room/office space) after their friends Alan and Ngaire told them they’d secured a house in the Resort.
Having their friends and other neighbours close by is a big plus.
Ross is now retired but Shirley still thrives on her part-time work – and both love socialising.
“We wanted to be around like-minded fun folk our own age,” they say. “So, life at the Resort is perfect!”
